The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says a Marion man was seriously injured Tuesday night near Mount Vernon when he was ejected from his vehicle.
According to a news release, Daniel G. Johnson, 43, was driving a 2007 Ford Focus ZX3 SD at about 10:50 p.m. in the area of Highway 30 East and Highway 13 North when he lost control of the vehicle and the car started to roll, ejecting Johnson.
Deputies said Johnson was the only person in the vehicle and he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The sheriff’s office said Johnson was airlifted to St. Luke’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The wreck remains under investigation, according to the news release.
