Man shot during overnight home invasion in SW Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS — A man was wounded by gunfire during a home invasion in southwest Cedar Rapids shortly after midnight Wednesday.

Police were dispatched at 12:56 a.m. Thursday to the 300 block of Jacolyn Drive SW for report of a home invasion, according to a Cedar Rapids Police Department news release.

Officers found a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
