Gregory Davis has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Carrie Davis.
Sentencing will be set later, most likely in 6 or 8 weeks, Judge Sean McPartland said.
Judge McPartland individually polled the jury after the verdict was revealed. Each of the jurors confirmed that this was their verdict.
Yesterday, two mental health experts testified that Davis had intent to kill his ex-girlfriend when he stabbed her 26 times because he believed it was morally right.
Davis will remain in custody pending sentencing.
Gazette reporter Trish Mehaffey is in the courtroom today and will be providing updates as they happen.
