Hawk Alert: University of Iowa Police looking for sexual assault suspect

The University of Iowa issued a Hawk Alert early Sunday morning after reports of a sexual assault at Slater Hall.

According to the alert, authorities are looking for the suspect, who is a white male, possibly between the ages of 18 to 20 wearing a short sleeve Hawaiian shirt and a blue and green wrist band, hair is wavy brown, shoulder length, no facial hair, thin to medium build. He may also have a laceration his forehead.

The incident occurred possibly around 3:30 a.m., University of Iowa Police received a call about the incident at 4:54 a.m.

According to the alert, UI Police are actively investigating this incident, and more information will be shared when it becomes available.

The suspect was last seen running down the stairwell in Slater Hall.
