Driver seriously injured on Edgewood Road after entering ditch and striking tree

A single car crash during the early morning hours of Saturday, January 12 has sent one woman to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

According to a release from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Jodi Lint, 34 of Cedar Rapids was driving northbound on Edgewood Road SW when she left the roadway and entered the ditch to the east of the road.

She then crossed all lanes of traffic before entering the west ditch and hitting a tree, the report states.

Lint was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be life threatening injuries.

The report states that Lint was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident, and the incident remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
