Driver critically injured after overnight rollover crash in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS — A driver was critically injured in a rollover crash around midnight Wednesday after refusing to stop for police.

The vehicle rolled into a parked car and came to rest against a house in the 1000 block of First Avenue SW, according to Cedar Rapids police.

The driver was taken to a hospital with what emergency responders described as potentially life-threatening injuries, according to a news release. No one else was in the vehicle.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
