Cedar Rapids Police: $10,000 reward offered for the identification of burglary suspect

The Cedar Rapids Police Department is seeking assistance in the identification of a burglary suspect. On October 2 at 3 a.m., officers responded to a security alert at First Turn Games on 1st Ave SE, finding evidence of forced entry and valuable, high-end ‘Magic The Gathering’ gaming cards stolen from display cases.

In a surveillance video, available on the Cedar Rapids Police Department’s Facebook page, a suspect can be seen entering the premises and heading directly toward the display cases and breaking in to obtain the cards.

Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

Anyone with information to share about the individual in the video or any other tips is encouraged to contact the Cedar Rapids Police Department at (319) 286-5450 or Linn County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-CS-CRIME (1-800-272-7463) or text CRIMES (274637) and in the message/subject, type 5227 and your tip.
