Cedar Rapids Fire Department investigating Bever Avenue fire

Cedar Rapids Fire Department responded to an early morning fire at a Bever Avenue home Tuesday.

According to a news release, fire personnel responded to 1444 Bever Ave. at around 5 a.m. for the report of a structure on fire. Upon arrival firefighters noted smoke and a small fire showing from a window on the side of the structure.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and contain it to the area of origin, a window frame.

No medical treatment was requires and the incident caused minor fire and water damage to the area of origin, according to the release. This incident is under investigation.
