Democratic New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, who last month said she’d formed a committee to explore running for president in 2020, announced plans Monday to return next week to Iowa, scheduling Presidents Day stops in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City.

The campaign said the hopeful will hold meet-and-greets from 5-6 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Chrome Horse, 1201 Third St. SE in Cedar Rapids, and then 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the Airliner, 22 S. Clinton St. in Iowa City.

In her trip last month to Iowa, she scheduled stops in cities including Sioux City, Boone, Ames and Des Moines.

“Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is thrilled to return to Iowa and listen to voters’ concerns and aspirations on Presidents Day,” Iowa Communications Director Rachel Irwin said in a statement. “In her upcoming visits to Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, Sen. Gillibrand will meet and greet with Iowans, hear their stories and share her values of courage and compassion to move our country forward.”

Those wishing to attend the events were asked to RSVP. Sign up for the Cedar Rapids event here and for the Iowa City event here. Designated areas in the businesses where she will hold the events each open a half-hour beforehand.
