CEDAR RAPIDS — Massachusetts senator and 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren is scheduled to return to Iowa for a two-day trip next week including a stop in Cedar Rapids on April 25.
Warren is scheduled for a meet and greet with the Linn Phoenix Club at 6:30 p.m. at Raygun, 1028 Third St. SE in Cedar Rapids. Tickets are available for $20, and can be purchased at the door. Admission is free for Phoenix Club members.
Those interested in attending can RSVP by emailing email@example.com or calling 319-929-4543.
On April 26, Warren is booked to deliver the keynote address at the Red, White & Blue Dinner, a fundraiser for the Scott County Democratic Party, at the RiverCenter in downtown Davenport. U.S. Rep. Dave Loebsack, D-Iowa City, is also expected to speak.
Additional stops are expected to be announced.
The visit would mark Warren’s second time to Cedar Rapids as a presidential candidate and fifth time to Iowa. She was most recently in Cedar Rapids on Feb. 10.
The most recent Monmouth University poll, released last Thursday, showed Warren tied with California Sen. Kamala Harris among preferences of Iowa Democratic voters, and trailing former Vice President Joe Biden, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, and South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg in the crowded field of nearly two dozen Democratic candidates.
