Here are answers to your newbo evolve questions

Q: Who needs to register and where can they do it?

A: Three-day passholders need to register to receive credentials for speaker sessions, the concert and exclusive areas. There are several chances to register.

Thursday:

Noon — 6 p.m.: Cedar Rapids Convention Complex

Friday:

8 a.m. — 5 p.m.: Cedar Rapids Convention Complex

10 a.m. — 11:30 a.m.: Cedar Rapids Public Library downtown.

3 p.m. — 8 p.m.: evolve lounge, corner of Third Street and 16th Avenue SE.

Saturday:

7:30 a.m. — 5 p.m.: Cedar Rapids Convention Complex

3 p.m. — 8 p.m.: evolve lounge

Sunday:

11 a.m.- 7 p.m.: Concert venue gate, near Second Street and 16th Avenue SE.

Q: Where do volunteers check in?

A: Volunteer check in is on the ground floor of the Town Center, Site 150, 221 Third Ave. SE.

Q: Can I still get tickets?

A: Yes. Three-day passes ($402.50) or individual concert tickets for Kelly Clarkson (starting at $54.50 plus taxes and fees) on Friday night or Maroon 5 ($70 plus taxes and fees) on Saturday can be purchased online at Ticketmaster, at the U.S. Cellular Center Box Office or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. A Ticketmaster booth also will be set up across from the concert grounds.

Q: What can or can’t I take into the concerts?

A: Allowed are small purses, bagged lawn chairs, binoculars and rain ponchos. Prohibited items include face masks and face paint; weapons; including pocket knives; computers, laptops or tablets; professional cameras, selfie sticks or telescopic lenses; laser pointers, laser products or flashlights; blankets; any outside food or beverages including alcohol; drugs or illegal paraphernalia; cans, bottles, flasks, coolers or other similar containers; backpacks, large bags, suitcases or sealed packages; animals (except service animals); umbrellas; balloons; beach balls or any other inflatable items; noisemakers; fireworks or any other incendiary devices; flagpoles or any support frames for banners/signs, large signs, flags, banners, posters or pamphlets; skateboards, roller skates, in-line skates, skate shoes or bicycles; drones or any other model aircraft; and strollers.

Q: Where will shuttles run?

A: Free shuttles will run to NewBo during the day and evening, and from NewBo to downtown after the concerts Friday and Saturday. Also, one shuttle each will run on the hour from Marriott Hotel on Collins Road NE and the hotels on 33rd Avenue SW to NewBo, picking up near the Ramada Inn.

Q: Where can I park?

A: About 4,000 on-street parking spaces and 4,000 off-street spaces in parking lots and ramps exist. Parking ramps are charging $5 per day except Lot 44 and the Southside ramp, which are charging $10. If you leave the ramp, you will have to pay again to re-enter.

Convention Center ramp: 301 First Ave. SE

Five Season ramp: Corner of Fourth Street SE and First Avenue SE

Third Avenue ramp, near Greene Square

Fourth Avenue ramp: 349 Fourth Ave. SE

Ground Transportation Center ramp: Corner of Fourth Avenue SE and Second Street St SE

Southside ramp: Corner of Sixth Avenue SE and Second Street SE

Lot 44: Eighth Avenue SE and Second Street SE

Q: Is bike parking allowed?

A: Yes, there will be bike parking outside the African-American Museum of Iowa, 55 12th Ave SE.

Q: Is there a place to store things I can’t take into the concerts?

A: Yes, there will be lockers outside the African-American Museum of Iowa.

Q: What is the evolve lounge?

A: It’s where people can take a break, purchase food and drink and get entertainment. It is open to the public, but some areas are exclusive to three-day pass holders.
