Previously announced layoffs in Coralville at General Dynamics will affect more than 200 employees, a state record shows.

The Falls Church, Va.-based company operates a call center as part of its General Dynamics Information Technology division located on Oakdale Boulevard in Coralville. General Dynamics IT notified employees at the end of March about the layoffs.

At the time, the company did not provide or confirm the number of employees who would lose their jobs.

A recently updated log of layoff activity with Iowa Workforce Development puts the number at 220.

General Dynamics is an aerospace and defense company. Its IT division provides information technology and other business services to clients.

As of 2013, the company reported it had about 600 employees in Coralville.

Maquoketa Web Printing in Maquoketa also has notified the state that it will layoff 42 employees effective April 16.
