Promotions

At its Cedar Rapids locations, Hills Bank and Trust promoted Kathy Marshall to first vice president-retirement plan officer/administrator and Marcus Ramirez to mortage lender-officer. At its Coralville location, it promoted Sarah Highly to mortgage underwriter-officer.

In North Liberty, it promoted Chris Moen to vice president-wealth management officer, Matt Mautino to investment officer, Vincent Gaffney to vice president-trust officer and Laura Hill first vice president-trust officer.

Holly Randall was promoted to first vice president-mortgage lender in Marion and Jack O’Rourke was promoted to first vice president-mortgage lender in Iowa City.

Kevin Kirk was promoted to vice president-information services security manager in Hills.

Board Members

Tanager Place appointed Lynette Cavin from the Studio on Third, Jaime Mead from Overture Group and Adam Maske from Morgan Stanley to its Associates Board.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cedar Rapids added Hayleigh Hansen-Boardman from Shuttleworth and Ingersoll, Josh Streets from Scoreboard Group Consulting, Ann Ruske from Collins Aerospace, Brandon Boggs from Transamerica and Mark Willis from UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s Hospital to its board of directors.

Brucemore elected Brian Fagan from Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman as president of its board of trustees for 2021. Doug Neumann from the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance is vice president, Kathy Hall is secretary and Kimberly Hillyard from RSM US Wealth Management is treasurer.

Lynn LaGrone from Hawkeye Community College joined its Cedar Valley area board.

The National Association of Music Merchants named West Music in Coralville a Top 100 Dealer.

Randy Edeker, chairman, CEO and president of Hy-Vee, received the 2021 Legislative Champion Award from the Iowa Pharmacy Association Board of Trustees and Legislative Advisory Committee.

Seminar

The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance will present “Understanding Leadership Styles and How They Translate Over Into the Virtual Space” via video-conferencing 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Feb. 18. Meeting

West Side Mutual Insurance Association will hold its annual meeting for policyholders at 10 a.m. March 9 at 120 Vinton St., Palo.

Tanager Place will offer a new program, “S.O.S, Saving Our Sisters,” providing opportunities for middle school and high school girls who are involved in or at risk of getting involved with groups of youth committing violence. Tanager Place and the African American Family Resource and Planning Committee will work with community partners to identify and connect with young girls who could benefit from this program.
