BITEme Pop-Up Dinner
Kick off Cedar Rapids Restaurant Week with this celebration of art and food. The evening starts in Black Earth Gallery’s BITEme art exhibition with a complimentary bite, wine, beer or specialty spirit and live music. After taking in the art, sit down for a 12-course meal of bites, all prepared by Lu Deli’s Executive Chef Cynthia Romstdat.

Cedar Ridge and Pig & Porter Pairing Dinner
Enjoy a four-course dinner with Cedar Ridge alcohol pairing. The menu starts with charcuterie paired with Blanc de Blanc sparkling wine, then a salad course of roasted beets and cheese curds with vinaigrette, shaved fennel and dates or Caesar salad with shaved brussels sprouts, squash and croutons. For the third course, choose prime rib sirloin steak with potato puree and red wine cabbage or salmon collar with butter lettuce, citrus and teriyaki glaze paired with either Cedar Ridge smoked Manhattan or Clearheart Sparkle. Finish the meal with sweet cornmeal hush puppies with Cedar Ridge brown butter syrup paired with choice of Barrel #22 Chocolate Malt Whiskey or port.

Gourmet Junk Food Beer Dinner
Indulge a little at this dinner feature junk food kicked up a notch and paired with Bell’s Brewery beers. Start with appetizers, including smoked barbecue oyster with raspberry barbecue sauce, applewood-smoked bacon, spicy apple juice caviar and Gorgonzola cheese, paired with Wild One Sour, cheese-stuffed pot stickers, sesame, soy, peanut dukkah and herbs, paired with Titania, and pretzel-crusted chicken nuggets and sweet onion Amber Ale mustard sauce, paired with Amber Ale, followed by Spam, Thai basil, grapefruit, Szechuan peppercorn and yuzu syrup paired with Hopslam. The main course is a duck burger with wild mushroom, roasted garlic butter, aged white cheddar with potato skin fries and blueberry ketchup, paired with Black Note bourbon barrel-aged stout. For dessert, try an espresso-chocolate cupcake with white chocolate ganache and Bells Cherry Stout frosting with sprinkles, paired with whiskey barrel-aged Cherry Stout.

Bourbon, Sausage and Bluegrass

Dinner of Champions
Restaurant Week culminates with the Dinner of Champions, a chance for some of the area’s top restaurants to strut their stuff. Several Cedar Rapids chefs will compete to be the champion, with guests as the judge. Try dishes from each chef and from tasting stations featuring local producers and sip cocktail samples, then vote for our favorites. VIP ticket holders can arrive an hour early for a tasting hour with Cobble Hill and Cedar Ridge Winery & Distillery.
