The Silhouettes will again step out of the shadows, among the contestants on “America’s Got Talent: Champions” Season 2.

The dance troupe, based in Westminster, Colo., and founded and directed by Cedar Rapids native Lynne Waggoner-Patton, placed second on “America’s Got Talent” season 6 in 2011.

The “Champions” odyssey begins at 7 p.m. Jan. 6 on NBC-TV, featuring 40 acts.

“I can’t believe this is happening,” Waggoner-Patton said. “I couldn’t have made it this far without the support from everyone in Cedar Rapids and the opportunities Cedar Rapids gave me to grow in learn both in theater and music.”
