If you are bored of all your movies at home, I have some good news. Amazon has a whole bunch of movies and shows for free (if you don’t mind a few ads). Because my kids and I watch a lot of TV, I’ve listed some of our favorites below. You can find the videos online here: amazon.com/gp/video/storefront.
1. All Dogs Go to Heaven
This is a fun but sad movie, that I loved as a kid and now my kids love. It’s about an unlovable dog who comes back from heaven to do some good on earth.
Paddington is another movie adults and kids can agree on. It’s about a bear who goes to London and is adopted by the Brown family. He finds himself ensnared in adventure, while trying to avoid being caught and stuffed.
Elf is about a human who gets raised as an elf. When he grows up, he travels back to New York City to find his father, who is on Santa’s naughty list. Sure, this is a Christmas movie, but in a quarantine there are no rules! My kids and I laugh like maniacs when Buddy tries to put the star on the tree.
4. Monsters vs. Aliens
When a bunch of aliens attack the earth, a group of charming monsters join together to fight them. I have to admit, this is not my favorite movie to watch, but my kids love it. They told me to put it on this list.
5. Muppets Take Manhattan
Look, my kids hate this movie, but I don’t care. It’s Kermit and all the muppets and they go on a trip to New York City to become famous. Meanwhile, an evil man tries to kidnap Kermit so he can cook his frog legs. The song “Rainbow Connection” is my favorite. Watch it.
