Luke Lenoch ran for 145 yards and two touchdowns and Mason Hays returned an interception 31 yards for a score as West Branch rolled to a 42-0 Class 1A District 5 win over Wapello last night in a prep football game at West Branch.
The Bears (7-0, 4-0 in 1A-5) led 28-0 at the half and 42-0 after three quarters. West Branch held the Indians to 98 yards, 67 of which came on their final drive of the game.

The victory earned the Bears a spot in the playoffs and are guaranteed them home field for at least one round.

NORTH CEDAR 47, DURANT 8
— Jayden Johnson passed for 228 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 105 and two scores as the Knights won in Stanwood.
Johnson completed 12 of 24 passes, including seven to Ian Malaby for 140 yards and two of his three TDs. Adam Poduska added 98 yards on 10 rushes and scored two TDs for North Cedar.
DECORAH 43, CRESTWOOD 20
— Jake Holden rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns and Jacob Leeps added 62 yards and a TD as the Vikings won at home.
Collin Nimrod scored on a 25-yard run and a 33-yard reception from Cole Steffen, who also had a touchdown run.

WEST DELAWARE 60, DEWITT CENTRAL 27 — Brent Lammers rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns and Autin Bishop, filling in for Coy Roussell, added 164 and four TDs at the host Hawks moved to 7-0.
Bishop scored on runs of 59, 14, 10 and 14 yards and Lammers on runs of 10, 6 and 13.
DeAndre Daniels took the opening kickoff back 92 yards for a TD and Ryan Solomon scored on a 52-yard onside kick return for the Hawks.

CASCADE 34, MONTICELLO 0
— Derek Lieurance completed 18 of 21 passes for 293 yards and four touchdowns as Cascade shutout the Panthers.
Nathan Bergfeld caught eight passes for 94 yards as Lieurance completed passes to six different receivers. Evan Simon, Reis Rausch and Mitchell Recker caught touchdown passes. Luke Recker scored on a six-yard run and Daniel McElmeel scored on a hook-and-lateral play, taking a pitchout from Bergfeld after a pass from Lieurance, finishing an 18-yard play.
Trent Aitchison 81 yards on 17 rushes for Monticello.
The Cougars (4-0, 6-1) led 34-0 at halftime. Monticello slipped to 1-3 and 2-5.

— Drew Cook scored three touchdowns, including a 65-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the game, as the Regals (6-1, 5-0 1A-6) shut out the Trojans (0-7, 0-4 1A-6) in State Center.
Nathan Stenger recorded a 4-yard touchdown pass and Michael Adam and Jake Brinkman both had rushing touchdowns. Nick Phillips ran back a punt 72 yards for a touchdown in the second half.
On defense, Cliff Wagner and Thomas Rapp had one interception each.
CITY HIGH 38, BURLINGTON 24
— Nate Wieland rushed for three touchdowns as the Little Hawks overcame a 14-point deficit in the third quarter to win at Bracewell Stadium.
Michael Fredieu rushed 207 yards and a score for the Little Hawks (2-5, 2-1 District 6), who scored 31 unanswered points in a span of about 14 minutes. Wieland, rushed for 133 yards, who also completed 7 of 14 passes for 165 yards.

— Tailback Brandon Kramer ran for 202 yards on 19 carries, including a 90-yard touchdown, as the Class 3A No. 5 Solon (6-1) blanked Maquoketa at home.
Junior quarterback Brandon Childs threw for 135 yards and three touchdowns, with two going to receiver Trevor Yahr.

— Tucker Tenge started the second half with an 85 yard kickoff return for a touchdown as the Chickasaws (6-1, 4-0 2A-3) beat the Indians (2-5, 1-2 2A-3) on the road.
INDEPENDENCE 16, CHARLES CITY 14
— Mark Johnson's 33-yard field goal with 1 minute left lifted the Mustangs won at home.
Grinnell 35, Benton Community 0
— Ethan Cline rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries for the host Tigers.
Cline scored on runs of 3, 7, and 17 yards and Kenny Clark added a 49-yard rushing touchdown for Grinnell (4-3).
NORTH-LINN 20, EASTON VALLEY 0
— Logan Novak completed 9 of 18 passes for 137 yards and a touchdown and Ethan Rauch had 17 carries for 59 yards at Preston.
Christian Moore had seven sacks, 10 tackles, one interception and two forced fumbles for the Lynx (3-4).
HLV 78, ENGLISH VALLEYS 20 — Tanner Strudthoff rushed for 127 yards and four touchdowns for HLV at Victor. Dalton Kriegel had seven carries for two touchdowns and was 5 of 6 passing for 88 yards and two touchdowns for HLV.
