AKRON, Ohio - Zach Johnson followed up a 2-under 68 in round one with a 3-over 73 in round two of the Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club.
The Cedar Rapids native bogeyed three of his first four holes - he started on the back nine of Firestone's South Course - and shot a front-nine 38. He shot even on his last nine holes (one birdie, one bogey), but fell to 1-over-par for the tournament, which is part of the World Golf Championships.
Johnson's second round likely dropped him out of contention for the tournament - even though there is no cut of the 78-player field - as Jim Furyk leads the Bridgestone at 11-under (63-66).

Bubba Watson is 1-under-par, Phil Mickelson is even, and Tiger Woods is 2-over-par for the tournament.
