Kirkwood women’s basketball coach Kim Muhl reaches 1,000 career wins

He is 1,000-168 in his 34th season

What do those college basketball coaches have in common? All are among only a handful with 1,000 career wins.

Kirkwood’s Muhl achieved that milestone Saturday afternoon in Iowa Falls when the Eagles whipped Ellsworth, 98-32.

Muhl now has a career record of 1,000-168 in his 34th season.

“That’s a lot of wins, I guess,” Muhl said with a chuckle after a win earlier this season. “It’s a lot of times sitting on the bench, coming to the gym and having your wife put up with it.”
