Iowa State will play Memphis in Liberty Bowl

Iowa State football's first postseason appearance since 2012 is set for the same bowl game.
The Cyclones (7-5) will take on No. 20 Memphis (10-2) in the Liberty Bowl.
The game kicks off at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30 at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis and will be televised on ABC.

Iowa State's last bowl game was also the Liberty Bowl, where it lost 31-17 to Tulsa in 2012. The Cyclones also played in the 1972 Liberty Bowl, a 31-30 loss to Georgia Tech.
The Tigers are the second-highest scoring team in the country, averaging 47.7 points per game. They fell to UCF in Saturday's American Athletic Conference championship game, 62-55 in double overtime.
Memphis quarterback Riley Ferguson is third in the FBS with 3,971 yards passing and 36 touchdowns.
