Iowa running backs Jonathan Parker and Akrum Wadley were ticketed last Saturday night for a disorderly house.
Iowa City Police responded to a call at 11:54 p.m. because of a loud party at 86 Olive Court. The complaint reported 'yelling and an outside party” near the end of Olive Court. Parker, 19, and Wadley were issued citations at the scene.
They have initial court appearances scheduled for Feb. 11.
Wadley, 19, sent a Facebook invite for the after-hours party to the entire UI class of 2017.
Both played roles as running backs during their redshirt freshman seasons in 2014. Wadley, a 5-11, 180-pound sophomore from Newark, N.J., rushed 33 times for 186 yards, including a 15-carry, 106-yard performance that also included a TD on Nov. 1 against Northwestern. That performance snapped a streak of 10 games for Iowa without a 100-yard rusher.
Parker, a 5-8, 180-pound sophomore from St. Louis, Mo., was No. 3 on the Hawkeyes with 714 total yards (16.6 yards a play). He led the Hawkeyes with 531 kick-return yards.
