Iowa and Iowa State both fell out of this week's College Football Playoff top 25 after losses last week.
The Hawkeyes (6-4) were 20th last week before a 38-14 defeat at Wiconsin (10-0), which moved up from No. 8 to No. 5.
CFP committee chairman Kirby Hocutt said on ESPN the Badgers' performance Saturday was notable one week after Iowa pummeled Ohio State.

'The defense has really impressed this selection committee,' Hocutt said. Iowa gained just 66 yards and 0 offensive points.
The Cyclones (6-4) fell to Oklahoma State, 49-42, as the No. 21 team last week. OSU (8-2) rose from 15th to 13th.
Alabama (10-0) is the new No. 1 following Georgia's first loss of the season, a 40-17 blowout at Auburn. The Bulldogs (9-1) are now No. 7, one spot behind Auburn (8-2).
Clemson (9-1), Miami (9-0) and Oklahoma (9-1) round out the top four, the spots that matter at the end of the season when the playoffs are determined. The Hurricanes jumped four spots after beating Notre Dame, now No. 8, 41-8.
Wisconsin is still the lowest-ranked Power 5 unbeaten and gets No. 24 Michigan (8-2) this week. Ohio State (8-2) moved up four spots to No. 9 after demolishing Michigan State, 48-3. The Spartans (7-3) are now No. 17. Penn State (8-2) is 10th and Northwestern (7-3) is No. 23.
In the Big 12, TCU's 38-20 loss to Oklahoma dropped the Horned Frogs (8-2) to 12th, just ahead of Oklahoma State.
