OK, hi.
Sounds like Iowa is practicing tonight, per KF on the radio show that is happening as we speak-read. With finals over (they ended last week), Iowa is steam rolling into Stanford prep.
KF expects hard nose. Stanford has a formation with 8 O-linemen. That's the hardest nose like ever.

Crowd cheers KF for Big Ten coach of the year and national coach of the year (Eddie Robinson). 'One commonality is you have good players and a good staff,” he said.
KF said team started gaining traction in the summer. I agree. Check this link: Hawkeyes conquer the iron stage.
KF will be with Dolph (I'm only going with initials and nicknames tonight) for about 45 minutes on Hawk Talk with KF.
Tune in here for more.
Some astute tweeters have tweeted '#bodyclock” at me in regard to tonight's practice. That makes sense. Good job, tweeters.
I'm a simple conduit in this thingie.
Here's the first call.
- Anthony is on the horn. Asks if Iowa plans on doing some sightseeing. ANTHONY GET OFF THE HORN
Players are going to Disney, Lawry's and the Improv. I wonder if they'll catch @Lucascentric's act. The guy is a hoot.
Greg Davis has been in three Rose Bowls (didn't know that). Rose Bowl sent six or seven people to get the Hawkeyes travel party going forward.
KF on bowls: 'If you win, it might as well be Siberia. If you lose, you forget it immediately.”
- Jim the buy with the voice and a phone: Get past Wisconsin and it's clean sailing. Stanford prediction from Jim? 31-10 and I'll let you fill in the blank.
'When you talk about Stanford, you have to start with him,” KF said. You know who him is.
My colleague Scott Dochterman believes Christian McCaffrey looks like LaDainian Tomlinson. I can see that.
Daniel in beautiful Elkader (seriously, it's beautiful).
Thanks the Hawkeyes. Believes the pride is back. Dolph doubts the pride ever left.
- TOMMMYYYYYY!!!!
Wants to know if Christian McCaffrey is related to Iowa hoops coach Fran McCaffery. YOU GUYS THEY DONT EVEN SPELL IT THE SAME
Tommy said something about Evy and the Rose Bowl and bringing home bacon. Everyone knows LA bacon is the kickiest pork butt there is.
KF said Brett Greenwood and Pat Angerer were in the Iowa facility today.
'Every player who ever played here” was at Indy for the Big Ten title game.
One thing I haven't gotten to is how intertwined the past and current Iowa players are. It kind of struck me with a KF answer when three former players - I believe Hap Peterson, Mark Bortz and Jim (??) Pekar - were brought back to serve as honorary captains before North Texas.
The roots run deep within the Hawkeyes.
- KF said RB Jordan Canzeri is back practicing. He said a couple of players were beat up and that Iowa needed these last two weeks to get right.
I believe Canzeri plays in the Rose Bowl. I wouldn't, however, put a percentage on his health.
- Stanford does multiple things out of its 3-4 defense. More personnel packages. Stanford has big LBs who can play up and/or down. Communication will be key with O-linemen. Little variations and wrinkles that will test knowledge and fundamentals. 'It's good for us to have a little extra time,” KF said.
- Schemes are different, but personalities are the same.
- David from George in Ed over by Tim.
Status on Ott and medical hardship waiver.
Hard to predict. Going through process. Totally arguable case. If doesn't get it, still has a great future. NFL is aware of him. 'We hope his career [at Iowa] isn't over. He hopes his career [at Iowa] isn't over.”
I don't know what to read into that. It's an unassailable comment by KF. Then again, Feb. 22 might be the earliest anyone knows anything.
- Jim is on a cordless phone. I know these things.
Pushing on from the B1G title game. Great show. Cheerleading now. Let's get this going!
Bitter disappointment after that night. I'm starting to think this is a thing. KF: It's been flushed. Tape has been reviewed and moving on.
Oh yeah, it's the Rose Bowl.
What did Northwestern do to keep Stanford to six points?
KF never wants to go to the west coast at night, talking Stanford at Northwestern. 'Take that film and throw it out. Not Stanford.”
I believe Iowa will never play a night game in Pacific time. Well, a regular season one, anyway. KF reminds listeners that Stanford beat USC twice and, whoa, does USC have some players. That was a KF 'whoa,” by the way.
Awkward moment. KF had to haul tail to practice. Dolph, on the air, kind of escorted him out, saying pointedly, 'Coach needs to get to practice, we have to let him go.” I would've liked to have seen that.
I really would've like to have seen that. It's the little things, you guys.
OK, Iowa talks tomorrow, KF and players.
