NewBo City Market’s executive director, Scott Kruger, will step down on June 26, he said in an email to community members Monday.
Kruger, who had been executive director of the public market and small business incubator since 2016, oversaw NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids as its revenue doubled and it provided opportunities to business owners from underrepresented backgrounds.
“It has been my great privilege to work with our exceptionally dedicated team of employees, volunteers, and partners throughout the community,” Kruger said in the email.

“These are not accomplishments an executive director makes alone.”
He said he cannot discuss his new position yet, but he will remain in the community.
