May. 10, 2022 6:00 am
IOWA CITY — After more than 10 years in business, former Dumpling Darling owner Veronica Tessler is selling Yotopia.
The owner of the frozen yogurt shop at 132 S. Clinton St., adjacent to the Ped Mall, announced on May 2 plans to find a new owner.
“It is most important to me to find a new owner who can give the business the care and attention it deserves,” Tessler said on a social media post sharing her new profile in the Wall Street Journal. “The future of the Iowa City Ped Mall is bright, and I’ve developed a wholesale operation that I project will make the business stronger than ever.”

She decided to sell in order to focus on Nosh, her Des Moines cafe and eatery that opened in 2019, according to the Daily Iowan. She opened Yotopia in 2011 at age 25.
