Scooter’s opens first Coralville location

CORALVILLE — In an ever-growing list of expansions across the Corridor, Scooter’s Coffee has opened its first location in Coralville.

The site, 802 First Ave., held its grand opening March 10.

The newly constructed drive-thru location, where a BP gas station previously stood, lies between Casa Azul restaurant and Super 7 motel.

The location, owned and operated by Mark Holtkamp, is part of the growing Nebraska-based chain’s more than 500 locations in 28 states. Scooter’s plans to open many more locations nationwide throughout 2023, with commitments for new store builds in 30 states.

Over the past few years, Scooter’s has opened multiple locations across Cedar Rapids, Hiawatha, Iowa City and Marion.
