Martini Shake Off tickets on sale

IOWA CITY — Tickets are on sale for the fifth annual Martini Shake Off in Iowa City.

The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 17 at the Courtyard by Marriott, 901 Melrose Ave., Iowa City. There, guests can see a view of Kinnick Stadium from the top floor and sample martinis and hors d’oeuvres from local establishments, while bidding in a silent auction.

Proceeds benefit HAVlife Johnson County, which works to “prevent lost potential” in youths ages 10 to 15 by providing the means to participate in music, art and athletics.

Tickets can be purchased online for $50.

Since 2016, HAVlife has awarded more than $300,000 to 40 Johnson County nonprofits that align with the mission. The grants have impacted more than 23,000 youths in the community.
