Iowa Restaurant Association seeks nominations for women in hospitality

Former Melting Bite owner Sneh Chopra previously won a 40 Women to Watch in Hospitality Award from the Iowa Restaurant Association. DES MOINES — The Iowa Restaurant Association is seeking nominations for its fourth annual 40 Women to Watch in Hospitality Award, which recognizes Iowa women for their creativity, leadership and contributions to the industry.
Nominations can be made by anyone online at restaurantiowa.com/womentowatchnomination until 5 p.m. Aug. 1.
"The hospitality industry touches nearly every other industry," said Jessica Dunker, president and CEO of the Iowa Restaurant Association. "There's an unlimited number of career paths in hospitality and we are celebrating the accomplishments of women in all of them."

Cedar Rapids restaurateurs have won the award for the past several years.
