Flannigan’s closes in Coralville

CORALVILLE — Flannigan’s Bar & Grill has closed in Coralville after at least 20 years in business.

It’s unclear when the Irish-themed pub closed.

“We thank everyone for their patronage over the years,” an undated statement on the website said. “The Iowa River Power Restaurant does remain open & viable.”

Iowa River Power Company restaurant opened in 1977. It’s unclear when Flannigan’s opened, but owners David and Danise Petsel purchased both restaurants in December 2002.

Danise Petsel declined to comment on the closure.
