Daisy’s Garage opening in Marion soon

MARION — After about a year in the making, Daisy’s Garage will be opening its second location later this month, expanding into Marion.

Owner Jade Luter told The Gazette she plans to open the new build-out around mid-May. The site at 6147 Carlson Way will nearly complete the development near Pizza Ranch. At the corner of U.S. Highway 151 and Iowa Highway 13, it also will be the only independent and locally-owned concept — all of the Daisy’s restaurant neighbors in the plaza are chains or franchises.

Like its other location on Edgewood Road NE in Cedar Rapids, Daisy’s Garage has a look to match its name, with actual garage doors boasting a large patio.

The expansion comes less than two years after Daisy’s Garage doubled its square footage at its first location. The original site, opened on First Avenue across from Coe College, relocated to its current Fountains Plaza location in 2019.

In Cedar Rapids, Luter also opened Kingston’s Steakhouse in September 2021 and Cruz’s Cafe in December 2021.
