Chew on This: Mamacita Taco Pub opens in Cedar Rapids’ former Moose McDuffy’s

CEDAR RAPIDS — Mamacita Taco Pub opened March 3 at 834 First Ave. NE, the former location of Moose McDuffy’s.

The new Mexican offering comes from local restaurateurs Haile Duncan and Ozzie Aguirre, who own Mas Margaritas. The pair recently opened La Casita, which offers Mexican breakfast right next door to Mamacita in the former Riley’s Cafe.

The restaurant offers a large menu of appetizers and specialty tacos, quesadillas, burritos and other Mexican favorites like torta sandwiches, sopes and pollo con arroz (chicken with rice.)
