Mar. 29, 2023 5:45 am
CEDAR RAPIDS — Amana Colonies Bakery and Cafe is coming to Cedar Rapids soon.
The mother-and-daughter run bakery known for its scratch-made pastries, cookies, bread and pies in Iowa County, will open a new location at NewBo City Market in May.
The new opening fills one vacancy left by the departure of other vendors like Pinoy Cafe and Torch Kitchen Company in recent months.

The bakery started in 1981. Owner Victoria Kirby and her mother, lovingly referred to as “Momma Joyce” on the page’s social media, continue to operate it at 4522 220th Trl. in Amana.
