Toptracer golf facility to add Tiffin location

Subsidiary of Topgolf to build driving range, full-service restaurant in Park Place development

Toptracer brand will expand its golf facilities into Tiffin, North Liberty-based developer Ders Group announced.

Construction will begin later this summer, and it is expected to open in spring 2022.

The facility, which will include a driving range with 52 “covered and heated bays” and a full-service restaurant and bar, will be inside the Park Place development located on Forevergreen Road and Interstate 380.

Toptracer will keep the nearly-40,000-square-foot restaurant open year-round, according to a news release. It also will have a 1,000-square-foot meeting space.

“In our continued efforts to attract talent and visitors to the region, we are excited to welcome this development to Tiffin,” Tom Banda, vice president of the Iowa City Area Development Group, said in the release.

Toptracer, a subsidiary of global sports entertainment group Topgolf, headquartered in Dallas, uses high-speed cameras and “sophisticated computer algorithms” to provide “instant shot feedback” for those using the driving range.

The driving range chain joins Farmers State Bank and iGYM as tenants of Park Place, according to the development’s website.
