Elements align for artistic image at boys’ state basketball tournament

The dramatic spot lighting eliminated the distracting background and created more of an abstract pattern on the players lined in a row. The mirror-like, polished floor is what elevates the photo to an artistic level. I was able to remove the guesswork out of framing such a low-angle photo thanks to the flip-out screen of my camera.
