A double rainbow appears shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, over a field outside of Ely, near the the intersection of Nederhiser and Ivanhoe roads. Double rainbows appear when sunlight is refracted twice through the same raindrops. The order of colors reverse in the secondary rainbow.
