William "Bill" Charles Pennington

Cedar Rapids

William "Bill" Charles Pennington, 66, of Marshalltown, Iowa, and formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, June 15, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Services:
11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Community of Christ Church, 1500 Blairs Ferry Rd., Hiawatha, with Rodger Reid officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will take place in Linwood Cemetery.
Bill is survived by his sisters, Cathy Kloubec of Cedar Rapids and Mission, Texas, and Bonnie (Lonnie) Gross of Mission, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Levi Charles Pennington; mother, Dolorez Nadine Pennington; both sets of grandparents, William and Ruth Sewell and Levi and Anna Pennington; brother, Ronald James Pennington; and brothers-in-law, Gene Kloubec and Stephen Morehouse.
William "Bill" Charles Pennington was born at St. Luke's in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on June 15, 1952, to Levi Charles Pennington and Dolorez Nadine (Sewell) Pennington. He grew up in Cedar Rapids, and worked at Quaker Oats for numerous years before health problems took over his life.
Bill will be remembered for his smile, quick wit and love of Elvis' music.
Memorial donations may be made to the family.
