Timothy "Tim" Alan Nelson, 34, of Marion, died unexpectedly Monday, June 20, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday June 25, at the Palo Community Center.
Tim was born July 7, 1987, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of James Nelson and Dawn Price. Tim was raised in Palo, Iowa. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and spending time with his friends and family. Tim will always be remembered for his unmatchable loyalty, his dedication to his family and his innate ability to make everyone around him laugh.
He is survived by the love of his life, Jessica McDonell and son, Izaac; his mother, Dawn Price; brothers, Jeremy Mcatee, David Nelson and Travis Lund; sister, Ashley (Matt) Dunn; nieces, Lexi, Ally, Autumn, Addie, Karlee and Kaya; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Nelson; his surrogate parents, Gene and Denise Knutso; his grandfathers, Ernest Price and Gordon Nelson; his grandmothers, Lois Price and Sandra Nelson; and his uncles, Kirk Price and Jeff Nelson.
