Phoebe Toczylowksi

Cedar Rapids

Phoebe Marie Toczylowski, 25, of Cedar Rapids, earned her angel wings Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, after a courageous and victorious battle with leukemia. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, St. Jude Catholic Church, by the Rev. Mark Reasoner. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery. A vigil service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Teahen Funeral Home, where friends may visit with the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the church.
Phoebe was born Nov. 3, 1992, to Kathy and Mike Toczylowski, in Indianapolis, Ind. Phoebe graduated from Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids in 2011 and attended Kirkwood Community College. She was employed at Nordstrom Fulfillment Center and taught religious education at St. Jude Catholic Church.
Phoebe is survived by her parents; two sisters, Kara and Monica; a brother, Paul; and her grandmother, Sally Gaskill, all of Cedar Rapids; her beloved dog, Sadie; and many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Phoebe was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ed and Gladys Toczylowski and Larry Gaskill.
Phoebe always supported her sisters and brother in their many activities. She enjoyed so many of the little things in life, such as shopping, traveling, going out to eat, snow cones and spending time with family and friends.
She went out the way she wanted to, fighting right up to the end, crossing the finish line victoriously. It may not have been the finish line we wanted, but she no longer has cancer. Phoebe truly was victorious in her battle and is by far the most courageous person we know. Phoebe, you are and forever will be our beautiful cancer-free angel. Fly high Phoebe! #phoebesvictory
