Patricia “Pat” Ann Hinton, 82, of Marion, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022, in St. Luke’s Hospital from a sudden illness.
Celebration of Life service will be held at
11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will begin at
9 a.m. until service time. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her sons, Mark (Anna) Hinton of Montesano, Wash., and David (Lisa) Hinton of Ely, Iowa; her grandchildren, Christopher, Weston, Kaylynn and Madison (Kyle), great-granddaughter, Oakley, Michael, Makayla (Dakota) and step-granddaughter, Christina. Also surviving are her nieces, Tracy, Robin and Dawn; and her sister-in-law, Juanita.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Hinton Jr.; son, Michael L. Hinton; a brother, Charles Krivanek; and sister, Shirley Cole.
Patricia was born July 8, 1940, in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Daniels) Krivanek. She graduated from Oelwein High School in 1958. She married James E. Hinton Jr. on May 12, 1962.
Patricia was very crafty for years and loved doing craft shows. She also loved being in her backyard garden and was a big supporter of the QVC channel.
