Norman Glass of Quasqueton died Sept. 18, 2018, from chronic heart disease.
Survivors include his two daughters, Patricia (Michael) Hannum Delana and Diane Hannum; his grandson, Jeremy (Cathy) Delana; and great-granddaughter, Kyla Delana.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Marian Fagenbaum Glass, and his parents, Amon and Ivah Glass.
Norm was born Feb. 3, 1931. He joined
the Marines and served during the Korean War. He was a life member of VFW Post 788 in Cedar Rapids. He belonged to the American Legion Post 0434 and Historical Society, both in Quasqueton. He was a huge dog lover. He liked every dog he ever met. Camping and fishing were his favorite pastimes, especially after retirement. Sitting in his boat all day on the Wapsi at Quasqueton, fishing for cat fish was his idea of the perfect day.
A private family memorial will take place at Quasqueton Cemetery at a later date.
At the end, Norm wrote, in his brief life story for the family, "that's all folks, no more."
