Megan Papesh, 28, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Megan was the daughter of Claude and Deborah Papesh. She graduated from Benton Community High School. Megan was employed at People Ready, where she worked as assistant manager and was described by her co-workers as "Family, a sweet, smart, extremely knowledgeable and the 'go-to-person' for her branch."
Megan was truly full of life. She enjoyed attending the races at the Iowa Speedway in Newton with her mom, dad and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, loving on and taking care of her rowdy but sweet Percy Cat, spending time tending to her flower garden and was proud of all her accomplishments in life.
When God made Megan, he made an extra special soul. Megan had a heart of gold. She will be remembered for her incredible ability to see the good in all people with a goal to always help others. Anyone who knew Megan knew she was the sweetest, kindest, most loving and caring person who was always a breath of fresh air. She was fun to be around and lit up everyone's lives around her. Megan had the most beautiful big brown eyes, full of love and life, and a smile to match. Anyone near her long enough, would have a good laugh from her natural sense of humor and wit. She had the best personality. Megan was so beautiful inside and out and was loved deeply by so many people. She was taken far too early from this earth and will be missed and loved by so many but never, ever forgotten.
Megan is survived by her grandmother, Jeanne Steinke; parents, Claude and Deborah Papesh of Newhall; her sister, Anna Papesh; beloved, Kenneth Franklin, Whitney Forman; aunts and uncles, Dennis and DeAnn Steinke, Donald and Michele Steinke, Jim and Deanne Thompson, Doug Steinke, Sharon Duchacek, Alfred Papesh Jr., Tami and Kevin Votrobeck and Bill Carter and fiancee Kim Kress; and cousins, Nicole Steinke, Amanda Steinke and her fiancee, Chelsea Buss, Doug Thompson and Jimmy Thompson, Carrie Carter, Cassie Carter, Andrea Jurgens, Becca Jurgens, Jennifer Papesh, Adam Papesh and Nick Steinke.
