Mark Correll entered the eternal kingdom on Jan. 30, 2021. Although his time on earth was too short, his family and friends will never forget the love and laughter he brought to this world. He lived a big life.
Mark is survived by his wife, Marcia; children, Carly (Matt) and Cahle (Anna); his siblings, Barb, Matt, Patty and Tom; beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews; many friends; his favorite dog, Mizzy; and his granddogs, Walter and Otis.
Mark joins his parents, Martha and Stanley, in Heaven, along with members of his extended family.
Mark graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and later completed a Master of Business Administration at the University of Iowa. He spent over 30 years at Rockwell Collins in leadership positions that took him across the country and around the world. He was dedicated, hard-working and a "man of the people." He received many accolades throughout his career, but his greatest success and source of joy was his family.
Mark leaves lasting memories that will encourage others to live a full life and remember what is truly important. He lived by faith, and his family will forever cherish memories of his baptism and nightly prayer routine. He loved to dance and made even the stiffest of people love to dance too. His sense of humor was weird and perfect. He dropped anything and everything to support his family, and he never forgot to say, "I love you."
A private family funeral service is being held at Cedar Memorial on Friday. The family plans to hold a celebration of life this summer, sharing memories, listening to music and dancing, to fully honor Mark's life.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Donations will be used to dedicate a memorial at one of Mark's favorite parks. Please leave a message or tribute to the Correll family on the website www.cedarmemorial.com under obituaries.
