Lois Mae Davis, 86, of Cedar Rapids, went home to the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, at Manor Care Health Services. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 1, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
Lois was born Feb. 13, 1932, the daughter of Dewitt and Loretta (Waldschmidt) Cameron, in Center Point, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Harland Davis on May 26, 1951, in Cedar Rapids.
Left to cherish Lois' memories are her five children, David Davis, Deb (Dave) Rickels, Warren (Tresa) Davis, Denise (Bob) Kearney and Kenneth (Jane) Davis; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and a great-grandson expected in June; and three great-great-grandchildren. Lois is also survived by two sisters, Anita (Tom) DeVries and JoAnn (Harold) Annis; and a brother, Jerry (Pat) Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harland; and her parents.
Lois loved her family and friends and they all loved her! She was a very special person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her! Besides enjoying time with friends and family, she loved playing cards. She spent many hours playing games on her computer with friends.
A special thank-you to the many wonderful caregivers, staff, and nurses at Manor Care who took such great care of her for the past two-and-a-half years! She thought the world of them as they did her! She met many "wonderful" friends there!
