Kenneth Jackson

Cedar Rapids

Kenneth Dean Jackson, 77, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 2, 2018, after a battle with cancer. His dear friend Marian, who had cared for him over the past year, was by his side.
Ken was born July 14, 1940, and was adopted by Ray and Mable Jackson of Scranton, Iowa, in December of 1940 at the age of 5 months. Ken grew up around Scranton and graduated from Scranton High School in 1958. On Sept. 4, 1964, he married Gerrie Holmes and lived and worked in Cedar Rapids until her passing. Ken has donated his body to the University of Iowa for science. There will be no funeral, per his wishes. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
