JEROME A. "JERRY" WEBER Walker Jerome A. "Jerry" Weber, 72, passed away June 8, 2018, at his home in Sweet, Idaho, of natural causes. Per his wishes, his remains were cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held Aug. 18 in Sweet. Jerry was born July 26, 1945, at St. Luke's Hospital to Bud and Fran Schmitz Weber. He was the oldest of seven children. He grew up in Walker and graduated from Walker High School in 1963 where he played basketball, baseball, trombone in the band and was in the glee club. He also attended Boys State his junior year. After graduation. he worked in and around Walker before joining the U.S. Navy in February 1964. While in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict, he was stationed in Japan and transported fuel to warships in the Pacific. Returning from the Navy, he settled in Seattle where he met the love of his life, Marsha Ackerman. Jerry and Marsha married in 1977 and made their home in Sweet, Idaho. Jerry worked primarily in the construction field with various sidelines, including beekeeping. He loved to hunt, fish, garden, horses and watch sports, especially his beloved Cubs. But, above all, his love was his family. Jerry is survived by his son, James (Melissa) Ackerman, Boise, Idaho; sisters, Susan (Chuck) Briggman, Quasqueton, Carol (Pete) Peters, Urbana, Pat (Bob) Havlik, Walker, and Mary (Bill) Maddox, Nashville, Tenn; sister-in-law, Jealee Weber, Troy Mills; grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, Holly, Lauren and Casey; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marsha, in 2001; brother, Paul Weber; and sister, Barb Divita.
