Watson on Dec. 11, 1999, in Walker, Iowa. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever and the American Legion Post 264 in Urbana. One of his fondest accomplishments was being an instrumental part in securing the funding for the Frost Park soccer and baseball field expansion in Center Point.
Gary is survived by his wife, Mary Heins; daughter, Toni Heins; stepsons, Shane (Aubury) Dodge and Ryan (Kelly) Dodge; grandchildren, Reece and Mya Dodge, Jadon (fiancee Jessie Walsh), Jensen and Jamisen Dodge; brother-in-law, Bill Hatch; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Shawn Heins; and sister, Judy Hatch.
