Garry Raymond Anderson, 78, of Van Horne, Iowa, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, at the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha, Iowa.
A gravesite service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Resthaven.
Garry was born on April 14, 1945, in Des Moines, Iowa. Garry was active in 4-H in his younger years. He served in the U.S. Navy for 29 years. He was a member of the Van Horne American Legion Post 148.
Those left to cherish Garry’s memory are his wife Barbara Wakeham of Van Horne, family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in Garry’s name to the Oldorf Hospice House and or the Mark Harrison Foundation, in Shellsburg, Iowa.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Oldorf Hospice House for all the love and support they showed Garry while he was in their care.
