Donald Lewis Baker, 20, of Cedar Rapids, was missing in action from the Korean War. His remains were identified on Jan. 25, 2018. We are commemorating his life with services held at noon Tuesday, June 19, at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, where a visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Pastor Wendell Beets will officiate. His remains will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Wallace Moore, Stanley Strode, Kaggie Baker, Cathy Baker Strode, Loretta Baker, Artrilla Baker and Jeffrey (Cindy) Baker, all of Cedar Rapids, and Gail Rufus Baker of Thornton, Ark. Also surviving are many great-nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Lola Baker; his brother, Rufus McNeal; and sister-in-law, Willie Mary Baker.
