Colleen M. Kula, 67, of Central City, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, at her home. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor James Wolf. Burial: Boulder Cemetery, Prairieburg.
Colleen was born Oct. 17, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Lauren and Beulah (Hagerman) Power. She graduated from Central City High School. Colleen married Ronald P. Kula on Oct. 23, 1981, in Anamosa.
She is survived by her son, Shane Power of Central City; grandchildren, Lauren Power, Ashley (Louis Flockhart) Petersen, Mya Power and Keara Power; and siblings, Donna Hanson, Donald (Pat) Power and Marlene (Joe) Nagel.
Colleen was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald P. Kula; son, Shawn P. Power; parents, Lauren and Beulah Power; brothers, Virgil Power and Derral Power; half sister, Violet Power; and brother-in-law, Trumen Hanson.
A memorial fund has been established in Colleen's memory.
