Clifford D. Ketelsen, 87, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha, Iowa. In agreement with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of Clifford's life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, Iowa.
Clifford was born Sept. 18, 1930, on the family farm in rural Jones County, Iowa, one of seven children to Carl and Clara (Gross) Ketelsen. He was a 1948 graduate of Anamosa High School. Clifford served honorably in the United States Navy before and during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Allene "Corinnie" Joyce Floyd on March 15, 1953, in Center Point, Iowa. Clifford worked for 25 years with Swift & Co. and also in real estate. He enjoyed playing pool, cards, bowling and golfing, making two hole-in-ones. Clifford was a faithful Iowa Hawkeyes and Northern Iowa Panthers fan. His greatest joy was his family. Clifford made a point to attend as many of their activities as possible. Family always came first. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Clara Ketelsen; and three brothers, Hank Ketelsen, Don Ketelsen and Fred Ketelsen.
Memorials may be made to the family to be designated later to local charities of their choice.
